The last couple of days have been completely relaxing and filled with wonderful energy. On Thursday night we had a family gathering at Yash Jiju and Priti Di’s house. It was so good to see everyone and the room was filled with the vibrations of love and joy at being together again. When Rachel later asked, “What is Thanksgiving??” I told her that it was like that dinner that we had together but a bit more formalized. For example, instead of eating in shifts at the table, we sit down at the same time with specific foods at the table – and we only do it once a year (I still have to explain the whole commemorating a genocide thing but all in good time…). It was a fun night though! Expect an entire blog post on the different types of Indian food… coming soon!
In the mean time, feast your eyes on some of the fabrics at the amazing Nalli Silk Saree store. We went yesterday to go purchase a Saree and found our way to the amazing third floor filled with all different types of fabrics, showcased below. My aunt (Deepika Chachi) and I found all different types of fabrics to bring to the Tailor who has committed to making me all types of Kurtas and a Saree blouse by new years! 🙂

Here is a fun one to contemplate:
